The short version. The Tinkerman app keeps your squad, line-ups and notes on your own phone or iPad. We don't receive them. This website doesn't use cookies or tracking. If you email us, we use your details to reply and, if you ask, to include you in the beta.
Who we are
Tinkerman is run by Rob James, a sole trader based in the UK. For this policy, "we" and "us" means Rob James trading as Tinkerman. We are responsible for the personal information described below.

The Tinkerman app
The app saves everything you enter on your device: your players, their positions, line-ups, matches, scores and notes. There is no account or login, and this information is not sent to us or anyone else. We can't see it.
Deleting the app from your device deletes this information. If you share a screenshot or line-up with someone, that's between you and them.
Because the players in your squad are usually children, we suggest you:
- use first names and an initial rather than full names
- don't record medical, family or other sensitive details in notes
- keep your phone locked with a passcode
The app is for adult managers and coaches. Children don't use it and can't create accounts.

If you email us
When you email us, we receive your name, email address and whatever you include in your message, such as your team's age group or which phone you use.
- Why: to reply to you and, if you asked to join, to contact you about testing the app.
- Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in answering your message and running the beta.
- Where it's stored: in our email account, provided by Google Workspace.
- How long: until the beta ends, or 12 months after we last heard from you, whichever is sooner. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
We don't sell your information, share it with other organisations or add you to marketing lists.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. You can also object to how we use it. Email [email protected] and we'll reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If the app starts storing anything online in future, such as backups or shared team accounts, we'll update this policy before that happens and tell beta testers.
